When Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint debuted in 2012, painters went a little gaga for Shutter Gray (much deserved) and Grain Sack (even more deserved). I saw dresser after dresser on Pinterest using them in combination…drawers in one, body in the other; mixing them together in different ratios and so on. Well, we’ve had a few new colors that seemed to surpass Shutter Gray in popularity — I’m talking to you, Trophy! So, we decided to do a little throwback…Grain Sack on the shelves and Shutter Gray exterior!!
Marian, aka Miss Mustard Seed, created this awesome video about using her Milk Paint. We need to believe in ourselves!!!
I’ll admit it, white wax was never my favorite. My motto a few years ago was pretty much, “give me antiquing wax or give me death.” Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that melodramatic, but I was certainly a fan of antiquing wax. Something about it just smoothed out the edges and blended everything together so nicely.
Well, sorry antiquing wax, there’s a new kid in town! I am officially obsessed with white wax! The girls are looking at me with a side eye, wondering when we will be going back. And, I’m not sure we will!!
