When Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint debuted in 2012, painters went a little gaga for Shutter Gray (much deserved) and Grain Sack (even more deserved). I saw dresser after dresser on Pinterest using them in combination…drawers in one, body in the other; mixing them together in different ratios and so on. Well, we’ve had a few new colors that seemed to surpass Shutter Gray in popularity — I’m talking to you, Trophy! So, we decided to do a little throwback…Grain Sack on the shelves and Shutter Gray exterior!!

Erica’s Pick: white wax
I’ll admit it, white wax was never my favorite. My motto a few years ago was pretty much, “give me antiquing wax or give me death.” Ok, so maybe it wasn’t that melodramatic, but I was certainly a fan of antiquing wax. Something about it just smoothed out the edges and blended everything together so nicely.
Well, sorry antiquing wax, there’s a new kid in town! I am officially obsessed with white wax! The girls are looking at me with a side eye, wondering when we will be going back. And, I’m not sure we will!!
Here’s why…
