We have gotten some great feedback on MMSMP typewriter. Our customers are loving the soft black finish that typewriter offers. It is always one of our favorites!
Is this February?
So, I hear we are headed back to reality this weekend, but this last week has been amazing! We decorated the store for Spring and Mother Nature soon followed! If you are missing the warm temps tomorrow or are looking for some sweet Spring goodies for your home, stop in and see some of these cute nests, eggs, ducks and bunnies…
Lots of furniture, that’s what!!
Stop in and see what is new this week! We’ve brought in several pieces with great storage that would work in dining rooms, family rooms, kitchens and bedrooms. If you have specific requirements for a piece of furniture and don’t see it at the store, jot down what you are looking for in our wish list book. We work hard to fulfill the wish list requests so please be sure to ask if you have questions.
We are utilizing MMSMP’s new stencils in a couple different ways and I can’t wait to show you more. I love how Marian aka Miss Mustard Seed adds a little extra to the drawers of her many painted dressers, so that it how we started. This rustic table was painted in MMSMP typewriter and then we used the Nancy stencil with Shutter gray add some interest to the drawer.
When we buy this style of table, I occasionally hear them called a trough table. I have always called them a magazine table because, I guess, I have a lot of magazines to store and this looks like a place where that could happen! Seriously, though, what do you call it? (I mean other than as cute as can be in MMSMP Layla’s Mint!)
We are very excited about Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint’s newest product, hand painted stencils! I used this beauty, Linda, on a dresser we painted in MMSMP Farmhouse White!
We used a metallic paint on the stencil and the hardware to make them blend nicely. When I told one of our customers we have stencils now and that is what I used on the dresser, she had to go back and look at it again. She thought it was carving on the dresser we had accentuated with paint. She said it looked like it had always been part of the dresser — that’s just what we were going for!
Have you ever wanted to add a little hand painted flourish to your furniture piece, but don’t have the skill or patience to achieve the look? We’ve got you covered. I love stencils and I am really enjoying working with these new stencils created using Marian aka Miss Mustard Seed’s own hand painted brushstrokes! They are named after some of the women in her family and we are loving the soft, subtle looks. Which one will you try first?
MMSMP Farmhouse White is an antique white, perfect for when you want a little depth on your piece of furniture. I’ve been using Farmhouse White more and more, and while I’m still a Grain Sack girl at heart, Farmhouse White is winning me over. We answer questions about the differences between the two colors all the time, and my general response is that Grain Sack has just a hint of gray and is therefore a bit darker than Farmhouse White. Check out our Pinterest board for more inspiration.
Our other Color of the Month for February, is Arabesque, a soft pale pink that is part of our European Line.
