Let’s talk about this beautiful home office makeover by Jen of Rambling Renovators!
Jen wanted to transform her home office space to better represent the rest of her home – giving it a lighter, brighter look. The biggest challenge of the space, though, was the desk! Jen hunted for the perfect desk with everything on her wish list– a traditional profile and a wood top that could be refinished – until she finally found it on Facebook marketplace… but it needed a makeover.
Jen used a custom mix of Jolie Paint in 1 part Palace White and 1 part Swedish Grey to give the base of the desk a more classic, traditional look. The base was sealed with Jolie Finishing Wax in Clear. She then sanded the top and applied Jolie Low Luster Varnish to seal the beautiful natural wood. The outcome was this stunning desk that fits beautifully into her newly-designed home office!

Let’s chat about storing your Jolie Paint!
Storing your paint correctly is crucial in extending the life of the opened paint and ensuring it remains in its best condition project after project!
Because Jolie Paint dries quickly, it is best to keep as much paint as possible out of the rim of the can so that the lid can be securely replaced. Pour the paint you need into a separate container to use for painting and clean out the rim of the can as soon as possible.
Use a rubber mallet to gently pound down the lid on the can, being careful not to damage the delicate rim. A sheet of a cling wrap over the top of the closed lid will help to ensure an airtight seal.
Store your paint in a cool, dry place. Jolie Paint does not contain antifreeze and should be protected from freezing temperatures.

What size do you need? We can special order gallons for large projects and have most other sizes in stock (if available from Jolie)!!
Not sure how much paint you need for your next project? We’ve got you covered!
You can use this simple calculation to help you determine exactly what size of Jolie Paint you should order:
Square Footage of Project × Coats of Paint = TOTAL COVERAGE NEEDED
After you’ve taken your measurements and determined the total coverage needed, use the following formulas to determine how many samples, quarts or gallons of Jolie Paint you will need:
Total Coverage Needed ÷ 18.8 sq. ft. (or 13.9 sq. m.) ≈ NUMBER OF 4oz SAMPLES NEEDED
Total Coverage Needed ÷ 75 sq. ft. (or 7 sq. m.) ≈ NUMBER OF PINTS OF PAINT NEEDED
Total Coverage Needed ÷ 150 sq. ft. (or 13.9 sq. m.) ≈ NUMBER OF QUARTS OF PAINT NEEDED
Total Coverage Needed ÷ 600 sq. ft. (or 55 sq. m.) ≈ NUMBER OF GALLONS OF PAINT NEEDED
Don’t forget to factor in that you will likely apply 2-3 coats of paint over your surface (unless you are doing a washed finish where one coat is sufficient), so you’ll want to include this in your calculations. Actual paint coverage may vary depending on color. surface, and application.
