This piece has been one of my favorites since we first brought it in. I’m rediscovering my love for mmsmp flow blue and it is certainly one of the reasons why we have started to paint more pieces in the color.
Choosing which color to paint a piece can sometimes be a challenge. We don’t want to paint everything in black, white or gray but those are the colors that sell the most so painting a larger piece in a bold color is a bit of a risk.
This piece was an enigma of sorts because of the eagles on the hardware right next to the bell detail on the edges. It was both masculine and feminine. I settled on flow blue with a little distressing and furniture wax to finish. Doesn’t it look great?
