This was an adorable piece that had a somewhat strange life before we picked it up at an estate sale. The inside was rough cut and looked to be really old. The shutters, though were a completely different feel and obviously were newer than the original structure. When faced with a piece that has been pieced and parted together, our solution is to PAINT! We chose Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Mustard Seed Yellow for this cutie and finished it with a mixture of Antiquing and Furniture waxes…
