I find french provincial style furniture to be one of my favorite styles. I’m not sure if it is because I had a set in the faded, yellow we see so much or if I just like all the scrolls and the beautiful pulls. For our first few years, I chose creams and whites like Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Grain Sack or Marzipan for our furniture transformations. Lately, though, I find myself drawn to the darker tones of MMSMP Trophy with a hint of antiquing wax. This set was wood so the light distressing shows some great depth set off by the antiqued finish…the nightstand has sold, but the chest on chest is still available (and we have a long dresser in the back room that matches).
