We had the great pleasure of doing a tablescape for the Sullivan Munce Garden Tour in June and wanted to show you our creation.

I decided to do a nautical/patriotic table top because I love the 4th of July! I love red, white and blue…and our nautical floats…our fake dock piling made from pool noodles. Yep, you read that correctly and here’s how we did it (thanks, Pinterest)

We measured and cut two large pool noodles into lengths of 20″, 30″ and 36″. We then covered the noodles with woodgrain contact paper. We cut three round pieces to cover the tops and tied them with some rope ribbon I had at the store!

I think it turned out really cute and added some much needed height to the table…

For the individual place settings, we used some old Anchor plates we sell at the store, a blue willow saucer and a knot with a galvanized letter in it…

You may notice the little mint life saver wrapped around the napkin (thanks again, Pinterest). For cups, I used some ceramic mason jars in blue with a pinwheel paper straw.

I was really pleased with how it turned out!!
