We are thrilled to offer a new Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Wax, Zinc Wax! It is a soft, silver-toned metallic wax that adds a hint of shimmer. We’ve tried out the Zinc Wax on a few projects and are pleased that it is as smooth and malleable as all of the waxes in the MMSMP line. I applied the wax with a brush but a lint free cloth will work also!
For the first project, I chose a lingerie chest that had an old paint job (you could almost smell the polyurethane!). So we scuffed it up and mixed up some MMSMP Trophy with bonding agent. We followed two coats of Trophy with a light sand and then added two coats of Zinc Wax. What do you think?
I think it looks so much better and was pleased that the Zinc Wax made Trophy seem much more silver-gray. It is a great option to add a little depth to the piece without muting the color with Antiquing Wax!
