My best friend, Keena, and I planned to go to the Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Retailer Conference a few months ago. She goes with me to all the Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint retailer events (ok, so both I have been to so far!). We left in the morning but planned to do a little shopping along the way so we wanted to leave early.
We stopped at a little antique mall south of Detroit and found a few things. My favorite treasures are: 1. The LARGEST milk glass pitcher I have ever seen; and 2. A really cool, very old mixer with jadite bowls and a juicer.
We were making a leisurely day of driving, talking and shopping. And then we got to Canada. And they didn’t want to let us in. Or, really, they didn’t want to let me in. You see, I volunteer information when I don’t need to and when the nice Canadian immigration man kept asking why, why, why…I kept answering. Ooops, maybe I should have printed out information about the conference. Well, they finally let me in and we zoomed up to Toronto. Right by the correct highway to the hotel. And past Toronto.
But we eventually made it, and were nestled all snug in our hotel beds. We awoke the next day to this view of the CN Tower:
More to come!
