colors of the month: curio and mustard seed

Nov 19, 2014 | News

As a child I remember fondly the colors of November…golds, oranges, burgundies, and browns displayed across school bulletin boards and store windows in the form of leaves, cornucopias, and little pilgrim boys and girls.  Miss Mustard Seed must have fond memories of those colors too, and she’s brought them to the present with her two colors of the month, curio and mustard seed.

Per Miss Mustard Seed, curio is a rich, walnut brown, and got its name from a curio Marian inherited from her aunt.

It is great as a stand alone color, like the above, but is also good to use as a stain, like the below.

Our other MMS color of the month, mustard seed, is a nice, warm yellow.

This buttery shade is bright without being overbearing.

As always, thanks to Miss Mustard Seed for the lovely pictures!

Now…what would YOU like to paint in these pretty fall shades?
