Before and After: Bathroom Cabinet Redo Intro
Revisiting our bathroom project from 2020…
While we are at home on #coronacation (as named by my 15 year old), I finally decided to tackle the bathroom cabinet project in the boys’ bathroom. For those of you who may not know, I have four boys aged 9-17 and they all share a bathroom. Part of the hold up, as most of you have struggled with also, was the color. I chose Jolie Paints in Sage as a soft but light, bright color because their bathroom has dark walls. Here’s a link to my introductory video where I show you the before and talk about my plans for the project. Stay tuned all week as I share the different parts of the process – painting, waxing and hardware.

Erica’s Pick: A Night on the Bricks
So excited for this fun, safe Summer get-together!
On Thursday evenings this summer from 5 to 9 pm, residents can sit at one of the many tables set up on Main Street, order from local restaurants and remain socially distanced while enjoying dinner on the Brick Street. During this event, residents can also visit the retailers lining the Brick Street – a perfect night on the town.
Thanks to efforts from the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Zionsville, Night on The Bricks launches Thursday, June 4. This event will continue for nine weeks through July 30.
Tables will be pre-set on Main Street, but BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs)…

Before and after: Bathroom Cabinet Redo Waxing
After a few hours of painting, which included dry time and chicken quesadillas for dinner, I’m back to work with my Jolie Clear Wax and a Wax Brush I found in the basement! I love how easy it is to apply wax. People often ask if a brush is necessary and while the answer is no, it is a worthwhile investment if you have several projects on the books. Check out how easy this is. Just wipe off the excess with a lint-free towel.
